Will brings nearly a decade of experience in overseeing legal and regulatory issues related to the natural gas and power marketing and trading business to his role as Vice President, Legal & Regulatory and Compliance Officer at Emera Energy. This includes negotiating master trading agreements, asset management agreements and energy management services and tolling agreements and the acquisition and subsequent divestiture of over 1 GW of merchant gas-fired generation. Will is also responsible for the business compliance plan and compliance week, including representing the company at FERC and the CER (formerly NEB).

 

Prior to joining Emera Energy, Will practiced with the corporate and tax practice groups of Stewart McKelvey in Halifax. He received his LLB degree from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
